I don't know whether the project itself is now hibernating, or if it has dissolved into its original formlessness as the cosmic heart beat. The website itself is down, and the facebook page is silent. I now serve as a part of its story, from when its vision sparked a flame of creativity.
What I do know is that the beautiful vision behind the project still lingers. Furthermore, that the essence of the vision, stemming from the serene place of the heart, still exists as a wonderful scent of a beautiful flower.
What was/is it ? The Vision & Mission
An international movement weaving the dream of PEACE. Supporting the flow of WISDOM in the world. The guiding principle being AYNI, the ancient wisdom of reciprocity, the sacred act of giving and receiving with all that exists. So simple, yet so profound and is the key to our LIFE in HARMONY.
The mission was to annually host a peace gathering in Iceland, the PEACE SUMMIT, to bring together brilliant minds and beautiful souls ~ inspire others and keep the light of Peace glowing in the North.
When and how did it all begin:
The Alchemy of Peace dream began with Dorthe Steenberg ~ Grace. The dream started to manifest itself into form when Grace hosted the AYNI Summit in 2011- a beautiful peace gathering held in Iceland over the Summer Solstice. That is how we met, when she came to Thingvellir with her son Casper in 2010, during the planning stages for the summit. Grace and I became close friends. The AYNI Summit was then held as the 7th annual gathering of Paqos, masters of practicing the ancient Andean spiritual art, but this time new gates were opening up. Not only paqos were invited but everyone who felt the pull towards PEACE, business leaders, therapists, everyone interested in personal development, spirituality and true creativity. It was a true sharing*
ALCHEMY OF PEACE and the PEACE SUMMIT
In September 2011 I moved to Denmark, Grace's home country. We were sitting outside at a café in Copenhagen, it was noon on a warm autumn's day. All of a sudden she said: "What should we do next year?" and the show was on. The planning, dreaming, weaving, envisioning, meditating, creating, drawing, writing, praying... also the crying and the sweating.. it all began* After all, we were giving birth to a new reality.
The PEACE SUMMIT for the year 2012 did not come to fruition in time, though we did our best to make it happen. But all the preparation and weaving made us even better at manifesting the dream of peace within our hearts. Click the image below to look at the brochure for the PEACE SUMMIT 2012.
My involvement:
I was the co-creator of the Alchemy of Peace and co-hostess of the PEACE SUMMIT. I dedicated myself fully to this beautiful project to serve and manifest the dream in all its forms, from igniting the flame in the heart of it to designing the logo and writing and proofreading texts for the website. It was a beautiful process working with the idea at 'seed' phase, to dream and weave the HEART of the project, and the organization.
Now only time will tell what the future holds ...
